For those that remember (and hopefully submitted comments to TDLR), in September of last year the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation announced they would be reviewing the Mold Assessors and Remediators program rules located at Title 16, Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 78 for re-adoption, revision, or repeal. This rule review is required every four years.

Today the Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation Meeting Agenda was released and at the Tuesday, January 25, 2022 meeting (starts at 8:30 a.m.) they will be discussing and possibly taking action on the on the readoption, revision, or repeal of the rules at 16 Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 78, Mold Assessors and Remediators.

The agenda can be found on the TDLR homepage here: and the meeting is available on their YouTube channel.

Any person wishing to address the Commission via videoconference must submit an Email by following the Public Comment Instructions. Emails must be submitted to the Commission liaison at by 12 p.m., January 24, 2022. Public comments can also be made in person on January 25, 2022 at the meeting location. Any person wishing to address the Commission should complete a Public Comment Form and submit it to the Commission Liaison.

    From our President:

The 1/25 meeting is a 4  year review of TDLR.  Mike (Marshall) is going to follow up with Rick Garza.  Based on Mike’s previous conversations with Rick Garza there does not seem to be any cause for concern.  Mike will be attending the meeting.  I may plan to be there as well.
